Saint Stephen's Basilica is the largest Roman Catholic cathedral in Budapest, built in a classical style with a little taste of neo-renaissance. An elevator takes visitors up in the left tower, from where the Castle Hill and the Citadel are visible. The square in front of the cathedral is a beautiful area for foreignors and citizens with some cafés and benches to sit on.
Hotel Central Basilica, recently opened in front of the Basilica, is a cosy little hotel and convenient for the city centre.
